i'm finally back from Japan! and I MISSED EVRYONE!!! please update me my friends because i've been away for a week!
it was a rather good trip and Japan is amazing. i wouldn't mind going back again. preferably after i master the language (someday), since there was serious communication breakdown. the tour group is ok. most were friendly and there were a few weird people.
the weather was nice and cooling but freezing on some days. and we visited Disneyland on a rainy day! =( but at least we didn't have to queue for the rides. 10mins max. i heard that the queue might be up to 2hrs long per ride normally. lucky us?
the most frustrating thing is that i activated my autoroam for this trip but my hp was unable to recieve a network there! and i only found out its because only 3G phones can be used in Japan (and Korea). so both my mom and my phones cant be used there. my sister's phone is 3G but it also didn't recieve a network when i tried it on the first day. because i didn't switchit to 3G network!!! in the end, this girl from the tour enlightened us on the LAST DAY of the trip on the way to the AIRPORT.
other than that, the trip was really enjoyable. most people there were really nice and the service is really good! the bad thing is that there were no bell boys at hotels because its their culture that MAN cannot help to carry things for others or something like that. so we had to lug our luggage up and down every day.
i secretly came up with this 'game' during the trip that whenever i was bored i would bow to the salesperson, driver, etc.and they would bow even lower as a gesture of courtesy. but never did it to amuse myself but it really works! its just something i noticed.
and their toilets are amazing. there was once when i walked into this toilet cubicle in a hotel's lobby and the toilet bowl's lid opened itself! and another time i went to a shopping centre's toilet which is realy huge, complete with dressing tables and chairs. and once the sensor picks up that you are using the toilet, it automatically starts this flushing sound so others can't hear the sounds in your cubicle. there are also buttons for warming up the toilet seat, washing your behind after you are done, etc. i tried it once in the hotel room, but its not a very enjoyable experience, it tickles! but their toilet flush are really difficult to find as they are always at a different place and with all the buttons, its confusing.
ok, so that's a whole paragraph dedicated to Japan's Toilets. photos up soon! =)
